Rashied Ali Quintet 1973
Incredible copy of this long lost avant jazz rarity. A staple in the New York avant garde scene from the early 60s until his death in 2009, Rashied Ali gained notoriety playing on later era John Coltrane recordings. This LP, on the short lived avant jazz label Survival includes the fiery tenor work of Bob Ralston, trumpet by Earl Cross, brilliant bass work from John Dana and the always inspired James "Blood" Ulmer on guitar. This is one of the few recordings of Ulmer from the early 70s. LP is a very nice VG++ and the cover is VG+ with slight ring wear. You will be hard pressed to find a better copy than this one.
